Discover Santorini

What you can do

Watch the Sunset in Oia

Oia is world-famous for its breathtaking sunsets. People gather early to find a spot along the caldera cliffs. The sky turns shades of orange, pink, and purple. The white houses and blue domes glow in the fading light. It’s a romantic and unforgettable experience.

Explore Ancient Akrotiri

This is a well-preserved Minoan Bronze Age settlement. It was buried in volcanic ash around 1600 BC, like Pompeii. You can walk through ancient streets and houses. Many artifacts and frescoes are still intact. It offers a glimpse into early advanced civilization.

Relax at Red Beach

Red Beach is named for its striking red volcanic cliffs. It’s located near Akrotiri and is a short hike away. The contrasting red rocks, blue sea, and black sand are unique. It’s great for swimming, sunbathing, and taking photos. Arrive early—it gets crowded in peak season.

Take a Caldera Boat Tour

Sail around the caldera and volcanic islands. Many tours stop at Nea Kameni (volcano) and Palea Kameni (hot springs). You can hike to the crater and swim in warm sulfuric waters. Some tours offer sunset views with dinner onboard. It’s one of the best ways to see Santorini from the sea.
